“I know kung fu!”

That’s what Neo says in The Matrix when he suddenly realizes that he is all of a sudden a complete Bruce Lee clone who can kick ass with the best of them.

That is not far from the feeling you get when you finally have what I call copy consciousness.

And I have seen many beginner copywriters struggle to get into the craft and seeing them trying to grasp what truly makes great copywriting…

But when they finally get it it is a sight to behold.

All of a sudden their eyes go wide, a smile spreads onto their previously pale, desperate face as they’re filled with a newborn hope. A hope that perhaps they know how to do this after all. That perhaps the most valuable skill in the commerce world, gifted or not, is theirs to possess and benefit from after all.

Heck, as much as I have written over the years and well, decades really, there have been periods when I got rusty when I was doing something else and hadn’t really written any hard-hitting copy for a while.

But it never takes too long before the correct brain nodules get dusted off, the sparks to fly and the pain… I mean the PEN flows effortlessly again.

In fact, this happened to me not that long ago. At first I was a little shocked at how rusty I’d gotten but once I remembered a few things about my process honed over the years, and dusted off a few groovy headlines… It all came rushing back to me.

It really is the equivalent of downloading the right skill… just like in the movie The Matrix.

But in this instance it is for real, not a fantasy or another universe in the metaverse, or an alternate world or what have you.

It is as real as it gets.

This knowing that whenever somebody places a product in front of you, your brain kicks in instantly, knowing exactly how to extract the juicy morsels off this particular product and how to relate it to the exact people who will be using it.

It is truly an exhilarating feeling, and I’d like you to have it.

The shortcut to this ‘download’?
Well as it happens, it typically involves a mentorship of at least a few months.

Three months being the absolute minimum, perhaps the six month mark is where typically most of my students have gotten a serious case of the brain sparks and know that they are set for life.

If you would like that experience, go on schedule a free call with me and which I will interview you and see if you have what it takes. And also you get to know me a little bit and see if you want to be mentored by someone like me.
